WHO WE ARE
FOUR LEGGED FACILITATORS
Tigger
While Tig has been known to “bounce & trounce” a little when she’s afraid of something new, she’s not quite as springy as her namesake, the tiger-friend of Winnie the Pooh. But she is just as lovable, if not more! Miss. Tigger was born in 1998 to an Amish family. She is a Percheron draft horse that is considered dappled “grey” but in actuality has a coat of many colors – grey, brown, silver, and of course, dirty.
While “Tig” is a full-figured girl, it isn’t her size that makes her the dominant mare of the herd, but rather her attitude. She’s known as a leader who is fair, and not mean to the rest of the herd. Although she has spent most her life grazing in a field or possibly pulling a plow, instead of a show ring, her gentle, sweet nature and love of people makes her a natural for equine assisted learning work. You may not be able to see over the back of this large animal, but just scratch her neck and she turns to melted butter.
