WHO WE ARE

TWO LEGGED FACILITATORS

Taren Ewing

I have been around horses my whole life, and more consistently the last 4 years. I show all summer and care and clean for my 2 paint gelding horses, Pure Dee Prairie “Huey” and Sure Super Sonny “Henry.” I show both Central Michigan Horseman’s Association and Pinto. Henry has been in our lives for 3 years and we have taught each other a lot. We bought him as a 5 year old and he was 2005 pinto horse of the year. So he had quite a show record before we even owned him. Huey is my newest addition. He is 16’3 (which is huge) but very very sweet. Always wanting to lick and groom me! He is also a paint and only 3 years old! He is being broke by our trainer Wendy Jones and next year will be our first show season together. Showing horses is something I get to do with my mom so that makes is all the more special. I have also been married to a wonderful guy for 3 years he truly completes me. I also have 4 spoiled dogs and 3 goats. So my life is full of wonderful people and animals!

I graduated from Baker College in June of 2008 with a 3.98 and an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. I am currently working on my BA from Baker College in Psychology and planning on attending CMU (Central Michigan University) for a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Working with and around horses is my passion and at KLC helps make it a reality.
