WHO WE ARE
FOUR LEGGED FACILITATORS
Mattie
Mattie isn’t exactly a four-legged facilitator, though she is four-legged and thinks she owns the place, so we thought she deserved her own bio on our webpage. We named her Mattie or Mats because she gets them, lots of them, in that long fur of hers and requires hours of brushing – all the while she purrs and bites, yes, at the same time!
Mattie is a rescue found by my daughter Katie behind the local McDonalds in 2004. She’s quite a vocal cat, especially if the weather isn’t to her liking; if cats know profanity she’s an expert at expressing her displeasure. Cats and horses don’t always get along I’m told, but this one seems to enjoy playing chase with the other barn members, especially Mickey.
This beautiful feline is also an experienced hunter, so earns her keep by helping keep the un-wanted critter population down which is nice. When not complaining or chasing rodents she can normally be found sitting on the ledge in the arena waiting to be let in to the conference room, making keeping the kitty nose-prints off the window is a full-time job!
