The Alkkamist
“Al” was born on January 3, 1994 to Akkhir and Bint Hafarrah. He is a handsome bay gelding that has had an interesting career including work as a successful show horse, trail horse, and family pet.

Since he is often at the bottom of the horsy hierarchy, Al does not like to be left out or left alone - and he can be quite vocal if you try to exclude him. Al, “Bert” or “Schmalbert” (as he is affectionately called) loves treats and will “head wrestle” with you if he’s in a playful mood.

He is very honest with his feelings and lets people know his boundaries, in a safe, but direct manner. Using his intuition he can help people see the need to consider alternatives and make wise choices. For example, if a person tries pushing instead of asking or inviting, Al may respond by laying his ears back, swishing his tail, and “telling” them to pay attention.
