Why "MYKLC"
K-A-L-E-I-D-O-S-C-O-P-E can be a real challenge to pronounce – let alone spell!! ? More to the point, we named our website“myklc” because we’re hopeful that we can help Kaleidoscope Learning Circle (klc) program participants facilitate their passion for lifelong learning by seeking ownership of Kaleidoscope’s ideas, thus the idea of “my,” as in “my – klc.”
We envision "myklc" to evolve into a dynamic virtual learning community. What, may you ask, is a dynamic learning community? Groups become communities when they interact with each other, share control and learn together. They have an incentive to work together, are flexible, and are committed to sharing new knowledge.
These dynamic groups of learners are innovative, creative, appreciate diversity and evolve over time.
Why create a learning community? There's nothing worse (OK, there are lots of worse things, but this is still pretty awful) than being all fired up and "gung ho" after attending a training program, seminar, or workshop and re-entering a work or family environment that saps your enthusiasm because they don't share your new-found wisdom.
Our hope is that by creating a dynamic virtual learning community we can save you from that awful experience! We want to help insure that the learning that took place at a KLC program becomes part of your way of life and more than just a cool experience and a pleasant memory.
www.myklc.com can be designed as a place where you can share with others "the what's," "the how's," and "the why's" you've integrated the learning experiences from an EAL program. We hope you'll join us in exploring – you can begin by sharing your thoughts and testimonials through an email that we can post as a part of “Have you Herd . . .”
