“Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in the Success program. Since that Saturday, I have thought frequently about the experience. I learned so much about success, leadership and myself. It was the most beneficial workshop that I have attended. You do a fantastic job. Thank you so very much!” Kathy Conklin, SCBEP
What is “personal growth” anyway? If you’re familiar with lifelong learning, life coaching, or in the words of “7 Habits Guru, Stephen Covey,” “sharpening the saw” then you have an idea of what we mean by Personal Growth. One goal of a Kaleidoscope personal growth workshop is a deeper awareness and connection to your inner self – that which makes you, you. Increasing your self-awareness can be a helpful tool for creating a personal road map or vision for where you’d like to be and how you’d like to get there.
Possible OUTCOMES:
- Increased self-awareness
- Discover belief in yourself
- Better understanding of choices and decision making
- Learn healthy boundaries and limitations
- Rejuvenate your spirit and kindle your soul
- Identify goals & create plan of action
- Improved understanding of others (family, friends, co-workers)
We collaborate with individuals to help them grow, change, and evolve by providing opportunities to reflect and learn. Each Kaleidoscope program is custom designed to create an optimal learning environment. From a possible pre-assessment to the appropriately sequenced exercises (both with horses and without) we work to provide people with tools to help them stop and think about their actions and reactions to situations, to identify their belief systems, and to learn from the experience.
“Truth” depends on our point of view, our beliefs, our experiences, our paradigms; change and changing habits begins first in the mind, for the only thing permanent about our behavior is the belief that it is so. One typical route of human change is the person that runs on automatic pilot until a crisis forces new action and understanding. Kaleidoscope programs create the space for proactive change – through awareness, reflection, making connections and increased understanding.
Horses help us by being active participants in learning situations. Because they are instinctive and natural, they are said to mirror or reflect the emotions and energy of the people around them. Horses suspend judgment by offering a genuine interpretation of reality, without bias, manipulation, or hidden human agendas. Through equine experiential learning exercises, KLC helps individuals learn to really see (and understand) what they are looking at.

Other Program Possibilities
“If the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears”
Any “ready-student” can benefit from a Kaleidoscope equine assisted learning program. Possible workshops or retreat ideas include personal growth exclusively for women, families or teens. We’d like to work with you to design a program that meets your needs – the day, time, price and location.
I liked having the feeling that people could relate, being with the horses, and the honesty of Kaleidoscope’s facilitators. I really had a good time and learned things about myself – I look forward to more programs! – KLC 2003 Women’s Personal Growth Series client
