GoldRush Weekends

Rush, Camp Timbers and Kaleidoscope Learning Circle are teaming
up to provide pure “gold” for those who attend these Specialty Horse-camp Weekends
Golden
opportunities to spend quality time together
Rich
moments filled with fun, laughter, and playfulness
Bountiful
discoveries about each other
Prospecting
for new ways to appreciate each others unique talents and gifts
May 18 – 21, 2007 is for girls (ages 10
– 15 years old) and an adult of their choice – mother, father, favorite aunt or
someone else they’d like to spend some together
September 21 – 23,
2007 is for boys (ages 10 – 15 years old) and one of their favorite adults – mom,
dad, cousin, whomever they want to spend a weekend together
We had a notion that families are looking for nuggets (pure,
golden ideas and experiences) that can help them learn about each other, have
some fun and create cherished memories. Don’t wait for a tragedy in your life to remind you of what matters –
create space and time to build a solid foundation for your relationships. Take the time to prepare the groundwork,
identifying core values in your relationship. Now is the time to help your tween (pre-teen) and teen to understand,
empathize, and relate to what is important in your life, so they can make
better decisions in theirs.

AGENDA
Friday
The “get-to-know-you,” the horses, and each other part of the weekend. This evening is planned to spend time
learning about camp, getting to know a little bit about the other participants,
and creating time to de-compress and disconnect from the crazy lives we often
live.
Saturday
This day
will be designed so the kids can spend time away from the adults to get to know
each other better, and also bring the two age-groups together for some combined
fun and learning. An action-packed day filled with equine assisted learning
programs where we partner with horses (both on the ground and a trail ride for
those who are interested), camp activities such as crafts and a nature hike
(May), sports and boating (September). Also included in this day will be a challenge course activity, such as
the zip line. No trip to camp would be complete with out a campfire, ghost
stories, and yummy, gooey smores!
Sunday
A day of
packing and wrapping-up from our two day adventure; but don’t worry pardner, this
day isn’t all work and no fun! We reckon
you’ll have so much fun you’ll be hankerin for more!
